| Description |
AceSeq™ mRNA Cap 2’-O-Methyltransferase GMP-grade is a recombinant protein derived from vaccinia virus. The enzyme can add a methyl group to the 2’-O position of the first nucleotide of the 5’ end cap structure of RNA. The enzyme uses SAM as a methyl donor to methylate capped RNA to form the Cap1 structure. The Cap1 structure can increase the translation efficiency of mRNA, and thus can increase the expression of mRNA in transfection and microinjection experiments. This enzyme requires RNA with m7GpppN, a 7-methylguanosine cap, as a substrate. It is manufactured in accordance with GMP regulations and is available in liquid form for in vivo or in vitro Cap1 capping reactions for pre-mRNA.
