These cells rely on Interleukin 6 (IL-6) for their survival and proliferation. Notably, the B9 cell line exhibits a dose-dependent response to lipopolysaccharide stimulation, which can potentially impact the accurate assessment of IL-6 activity in B9 assays. It is important to mention that B9 is a non-producer hybridoma and displays sensitivity to hybridoma growth factor (HGF).
