Upon subcutaneous injection, they induce subcutaneous tumors in rats. In vitro, the McA-RH 7777 cells are dynamically engaged in the production and release of plasma lipoproteins. Notably, MCA-RH 7777 cells produce α-fetoprotein (AFP) and exhibit elevated levels of L-histidine decarboxylase (HDC) expression, leading to histamine (HA) synthesis. Expressing both H3-receptor (H3R) transcripts and proteins, these cells’ proliferation is modulated by HA via interactions with autoinhibitory H3Rs.
