Description |
The TE671 cell line is now confirmed to be the same as the human rhabdomyosarcoma cell line RD. Originally, TE671 was described as a human medulloblastoma cell line that was isolated from an undifferentiated cerebellar tumor and expressed neuronal nicotinic acetylcholine receptors (nAChR) blocked by ɑ-bungarotoxin. Through cytogenetic analysis, it was determined that both TE671 and human rhabdomyosarcoma cell line RD cell lines shared common marker chromosomes. Why choose TE-671 from AcceGen? AcceGen supports TE671 with several advantageous features. It demonstrates high standards of sterility, being negative for contamination from bacterial, fungal, and Mycoplasma sources. We ensure high viability with our excellent cryopreservation for reliable and robust experimental results. |

Application | FOR RESEARCH USE ONLY TE671 is useful in the scientific research. TE671 can be utilized in drug screening for potential cancer therapy by assessing cell growth state such as viability, proliferation, induction of apoptosis, and cell cycle arrest. Due to the pivotal role of ATP-sensitive K+ channels in vascular smooth muscle, TE671 can be employed to investigate their involvement in mediating responses to pharmacological and endogenous vasodilators. Additionally, undifferentiated TE671 cells were found to exhibit the production of a voltage-sensitive sodium current and a significant expression of sodium channel subtypes, NaV1.7, making them a valuable model for studying voltage-gated sodium channels (VGSC). |
